Atheist
know more about religion than the religious - shocker! This is so frustrating when people want to make laws based on their religion but do not actually know what their religious texts say.

And here it is, as explicit a comment of sexism in our community as I
have ever seen but it is a feeling that runs through the community. I
have seen women are too emotional to be an atheist, not rational, or too
afraid.
This is from one of my facebook friends. He messaged me in he context of a longer message about the reddit discussion.
Telling
a child that there is a magical man in the sky who knows when are you
are good or bad and rewards you accordingly is a lie, even when that man
is Santa. Telling them Santa exists to encourage their wonderment or
preserve their innocence is contrary to the arguments we make as
atheists, and is utter non-sense.
Secular and atheist do not mean the same thing. It would be beneficial to encouraging productive conversations if we did not use these words interchangeably.
