It Makes Me Brain Hurt, Oh it Hurts!
The pastors in this debate believe if they presume the bible is true, then they don't have to prove the bible is true. Then the use the bible to prove their positions.
The atheists in this video let me down but not too badly. They are baby atheists going against professional apologists.

Is it Moral to Rape Someone if God Tells You to Rape Them?
If you believe that god determines what is good or bad then you must
say yes, it is moral. If your god would not ask you to do that is
irrelevant to this question.
Either you believe it is moral
because god says so and thus being asked to rape someone by god is moral
because god asked you to or you believe that god can ask something
immoral of you and thus morals are not determined by god or his nature.

If a Country Set Rules for Slaves...
If a country set rules for how to treat your slaves, wouldn't that imply that the a country government thought it was acceptable to keep slaves?

Stem Cell Research Advancements and Atheists
This is awesome and also a perfect example of why atheists care about the beliefs of religious people.
"In only the second operation of its kind, a Baltimore man has received an artificial windpipe made from stem cells to replace one destroyed by cancer.
Christopher Lyles, 30, had tracheal cancer that had progressed so far it was considered inoperable, the New York Times reported. In November, doctors made him a new windpipe - or trachea - made out of tiny plastic fibers seeded with stem cells from his own bone marrow. Two months after his successful operation, Lyles arrived home in Md. last week."

Totally drug resistant strain of tuberculosis found in India
Evolution in action and it is scary.
"At least a dozen people in India are infected with a type of tuberculosis that is resistant to all antibiotics used to treat the disease.
In December, the journal
Clinical Infectious Diseases
published an online report that documented four of the cases. This
weekend, news outlets in India reported that there were actually at
least 12 people with the drug-resistant lung disease.
Officials fear that what they've
seen so far is just the beginning, and that many more cases are lurking
undetected."

Shame on you Supreme Court. Shame on you!
"The U.S. Supreme Court has upheld widespread Christian exceptionalism with an employment law case. (LINK) Cheryl Perich was teaching at a Lutheran Church school in Michigan. Though she taught secular subjects, she was also required by the school to lead students in prayers. She took a leave of absence to receive medical treatment for narcolepsy. Upon her return, she was told that she had been replaced, and that she would be fired if she didn't resign."

Yet More Sexism in the Atheist Community
"As
to your question why you dont see more athiest women? Its beacuse they
are generally weaker. They dont want to make waves, they dont want to
hurt someones feeling ar risk having their own feelings hurt."
-
And here it is, as explicit a comment of sexism in our community as I
have ever seen but it is a feeling that runs through the community. I
have seen women are too emotional to be an atheist, not rational, or too
afraid.
This is from one of my facebook friends. He messaged me in he context of a longer message about the reddit discussion.

Diet Cherry Coke and Flu Shots
If you have more than one flu shot in your life, you accept the fact of evolution. If you have ever thought about how the western world got Diet Cherry Coke, you understand in abstract how evolution works.

Really New Hampshire?
I can't believe New Hampshire has joined the ranks of Texas and Kansas in the attempt to get evolution out of schools.
New Year Brings New Attacks on Evolution in Schools
New Years Resolutions - What an Excuse
I don't do New Years resolutions because if there is something I don't like about myself, I try not to wait to solve it. I don't always succeed but I do my best to do it now.
